NEW MINISTRIES FOR 2022 & BEYOND

The pandemic has taken a toll on everyone.

Brook works at the trauma hospital in our area and she has seen a lot of pain and hurt over the course of the pandemic. We are aiming to build bridges and not participate in division in our communities. There has been so much hurt the past four years, and we pray regularly for the Lord to heal our land and our people. This picture was taken in the height of COVID here in Colorado. We are thankful these days are behind us, but we know the fallout and ripples of the pandemic are far from over and will enact lasting change to our communities.

Making Disciples who make disciples

We are convinced the work of the church is to make disciples in all of life and love God with all of our might and strength. We provide training for Disciple Making Movements (DMM) while we ourselves work to not be counted out of the race in making disciples.

Emotionally healthy discipleship

We are also convinced the type of disciples made in the church must be marked by love and a close identity in Jesus. So we are growing as followers and disciples of Jesus as we adopt the principles found in the Bible about discipleship. The principles have been well summarized in the ministry of Pete and Gerri Scazzero. As we are adopting these more biblical sound ways of discipleship we are also helping others do the same.

Dream homes for the weary

We are partnered with dear friends who have purchased land in the mountains just 2 hours west of us. They have a vision we are helping create which is intended to bless many people. The homes we are building will be designed with details in place to best serve groups of people and families who are in need of refreshment. We are working on floorplans, site maps, and use plans to best build homes to serve. We might break ground as soon as May 2023 in Granby Colorado. The location is a 5 minute drive from these ski slopes you see pictured.

The 11:38 Podcast

We officially launched a podcast in the Fall of 2019 where we connect/reconnect/interview friends of ours from many walks of life. We’ve been blessed to have good godly friends for a long time now and being an encourager I thought it good to tell their stories. 11:38 refers to Hebrews 11:38 which says, “the world was not worthy of them” speaking of Christians who had lost much but loved well. Earlier in that chapter of the Bible, the author writes, “I don’t have time to tell you about…”, and he goes on to list several key Biblical figures like David and Sampson. Our idea is to tell the stories of our friends whom the world is not worthy of in hope that God would be glorified and lifted up and many people would be encouraged to live lives worthy of their calling. My Dad always told me to Go Forward in the Name of Jesus…we hope to help people do just that!

MINISTRIES, INTERESTS, AND OTHER ENDEAVORS

Gardening

There are so many biblical lessons learned by gardening. The soil here is hard clay which is nutrient poor. The combination of poor soil conditions, extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme wind, and extreme drought conditions makes gardening a reach challenge here in Northern Colorado. Similarly the conditions for spiritual growth are equally as challenging. We trust God with his timing as we plant seeds of hope in the spiritual soil and tend to both the physical and spiritual gardens of Northern Colorado.
